Tuned Out - an art work by T Newfields
Satoru: Isn't this the way most students see the world – with eyes covered?
Tim: Well, all of our eyes are covered in some way or another
Liao: (feigning interest) Why the exegesis? A photo is simply a photo.
Satoru: It's not that simple. First of all, this is no simple photo . . . it's a digital manipulation.
Melissa: And what about the person being photographed? Can you imagine how she feels? So often cameras are intrusive.
Tim: Indeed, many photographers commit a sort of 'pixel-rape'.
Liao: (shrugging his shoulders) Many do not even realize what they are doing: their awareness is just on their lens.
