The Effects of N-Beam Exposure on Writing 

PROPOSAL: To what extent is student learning related to temperature? During neural-beam (n-beam) exposure, 
learning responses seem to vary. This often leads to critical dimension (CD) distortion in some classes. 
Brown (1974) and Clarke (1989) have suggested that thermal constants from students, teacher ennui, and 
extracurricular substrates can induce kinetic change. Chang (1999) has also discussed how these factors 
warp sensibilities. This paper examines a study in which 40 students are exposed to 90A/cm2 n-beams of 50 
kV for two academic semesters, then introduced to process writing strategies espoused by Elbow (1973), 
Zamel (1982) and Raimes (1987). Raster strategy techniques are then be employed along with vector beam scans 
(VBS) to assess how text distortion strategies correlate with n-beam amplitude.

RESULTS:  A 16% n-beam exposure in this pilot study was found to produce the best conditions for writing. 
Standard radiation techniques induced rates of only 2%. Moreover, we noted tone reversals in some writings were due to heating inconsistencies. In particular, VBS exposures at EBR-900 levels induced student compositions beyond 60 WPM rates. 

PROBLEMS: Standard SACS (Student Assessment Control Software) can simulate 
nonsense reliably, but still lack face validity. Better experimental data is needed 
is needed to investigate this topic. In some cases, temperature increases appear to 
enhance production, but sensitivity seems to vary with grant distribution. We therefore 
recommend further funding be provided to investigate on how raster writing strategies contrast 
with conventional bullshit approaches.
