A Twisted Peace? - a digital image by T Newfields

Dmiritri: Perhaps our ideas about peace are twisted?
Frida: How so?
Dmiritri: Usually we think of 'peace' as a contract between governments. However, how can there be lasting peace unless there is peace in our hearts?
Frida: Well, governments can mandate people to do things that they would never consider doing on their own. Military engagement, for instance, is essentially form of organized murder.
Ying: Too many people conceptualize peace as a sort of spiritual inertia. I believe that a struggle for values and for resources will always be present. However, if we follow transparent 'rules of engagement' there should be no need for barbaric physical violence.
Satoru: (Apathetically yawning) My struggle right now is with my stomach. Does anyone wanna grab a bit to eat?
