Post-Cyber Memory - an art work by T Newfields
Once I was a human
now I'm a digital memory

Once I had a heart that beat
now there are only digital packets
& semi-scripted linguistic routines

Once I had lungs that breathed
now there are but shimmering images
above language buffers from antiquity

Once I had warm flesh
now there are only sensory packets
accessing random memories

Once I worried about dying
now I muse about digital decay

Blip.

After being in nano-time so many ages
Is not each second an eternity?
