Where Writing Starts - an art work by T Newfields
Melissa: Isn't the hardest thing about writing the start?
Satoru: Yeah. Most folks are too anxious about initial quality that they can't get their ideas across.
Liao: I think good writing starts with silence and has ample breathing space . . .
Melissa: Huh? Breathing space?
Liao: Yeah, breathing space is what brings us back to silence. The purpose of writing is to bring us to silence.
Tim: I dunno – there are so many different writing genres. . . it seems naive to imagine they all have the same purpose.
