PLANT POWER: A green eulogy The pulsating vibrancy of green and sheer intoxication of chlorophyll The strength of roots clasping earth's embrace and brazen boldness of blossoms unfurling, luring life to their space. The clarity of trunks soaring upward and stems striving towards the light The grace of leaves fluttering in sunlight and majesty of boughs touching the sky Plants have much to teach us – we'd be wiser learning from them Why not listen to plants more closely and connect to our roots? Plants are our spiritual kin, our soul's true green. Noel: (raising his eyebrows) Perhaps the gap between vegetable life and animal is not as wide as we imagine. Gwen: We share a common ancestry and many similarities. Tara: (to Gwen) Do you think plants actually have "feelings"? Orapan: Who knows? Isn't our understanding of consciousness very rudimentary? ===================================================================================== from Celebrations ah Song: Rejoicing Through Art, Poetry & Narratives with T Newfields SUMMARY: A paean to plants and dysfunctional dialog about poetry.
