Soo: I like de way de author kuntrasts economic realities wid ethicsu.
Elijah: Ethical values must carry more weight than economic expedience.
Jules: That's rather idealistic. We should never ignore the economic engines moving humans.
Ellesha: Those are not the only motors. . . don't you see how spiritual forces are at work? They will have more far far-ranging impact than mundane market forces.
Left Frame to Dolphinsong
Dolphinsong

a nuisance to fishermen
anxious to catch more
& cold slab of meat
in crowded department stores

a flipper imitation
at amusement parks
& specimen dissected
then computer-marked

will we ever see dolphins
as creatures
worthy of respect?

why must humans view
so many life forms
solely in terms of
economic effects?
