Sandy Lu, c. 2000
My name is Sandy. I am a sophomore of Chinese Cultural University. I major in English. Because English is my favorite subject, I decided to study it, and I hope that someday I will be an English teacher.
I think that I am an introvert perhaps, for I always get nervous and feel uncomfortable whenever I make a speech in front of people. But when I get along with my close friends, I can chat with them. Besides, I also an obliging person. If my friends want me to do something for them, I'm always willing to do them a favor. I think that what are friends for, right! As for my interests, I like to watch TV, for I can let myself feel relaxing and happy. Also, I can get some information on TV, like English express way or current news. It really a good thing for me.
In brief, I am a student just like the others, but I have many unique dreams. And someday I hope all my dreams come true.

I'm a sophomore English major at Chinese Cultural University in Taipei. Since high school English has been my favorite subject, and I study it hard. Someday I hope to be a high school English teacher in Miao-li, my hometown in west-central Taiwan.
In most respects I am a typical young Taiwanese woman. I have one elder brother, who recently graduated with an engineering degree from a university in southern Taiwan. My father is a civil servant for Miao-li city and mother is a full-time housewife. I spend most of my time at home watching TV, listening to pops, and studying English. Watching TV enables me to learn about current news and English expressions. I also have a part time job at a Chinese restaurant in downtown Taipei.
Though I am an introvert and tend to get nervous when making speeches, I get along with close friends and enjoy chatting with them. I am generally considered oblidging and almost always am willing to do what friends want.
In summary, I'm an ordinary student with many dreams. One of those dreams is to spend at least one year doing volunteer work. And I also hope to appear on television someday before marriage.
