Alan: I'm thinking of visiting Brunei. Do I need any sort of visa?

Brad: Yes. You'll need a tourist visa and can visit Brunei for 15 days.

Alan: What kind of money do they use there?

Brad: The Brunei dollar. It is worth about 19 New Taiwan dollars.
Singapore dollars are also widely used.

Alan: How expensive is Brunei?

Brad: Pretty expensive.

Alan: A budget meal costs about US $3 and a typical meal is about $10.

Brad: A meal at a top-end restaurant will usually be over US$10.

Alan: What about hotels? How expensive is it to stay there per night?

Brad: Most hotels in Brunei cost US $30 - $50 per night.
A night in a top-end hotel can easily run over $100.

Alan: Wow! That's expensive. Maybe I should stay in Malaysia instead.

Brad: It is probably cheaper.
