Still Dancing

Books can be burned easily
but great ideas don't quickly fade

Paintings can be banned from exhibition
but great art still manifests in other ways

Music can be blocked from performance
but deep harmonies are never displaced

Places of worship are easy to demolish
but it is harder to destroy human faith

Art survives funeral pyres
Beauty transcends all flame

We are proof of the power of magic -
and with or without us

The dance of life
continues in countless ways

Jack: It's sobering to realize how life goes on without humans.
Juanita: We are certainly not the end of evolution.
Shu: Is there ever any end? Perhaps our notions of time, space, & causality need re-examination.
