but all living beings
However
if a few A-21 circuits could be reconfigured
the system might last another aeon -
long enough to help
some humans
evolve significantly
Alas, old Planet Earth is off limits
and now the expanding human trash
must decide
whether to vanish slowly
through a series of multiple failures
or
(as so many civilizations have)
swiftly and abruptly crash
