Last sea turtle dies in captivity

Data chip tagging law enacted to reduce crime

Coral reefs vanish finally

Super-hurricanes widespread

Drug abuse pervasive

Nuclear blast leaves 30 million dead

Military spending at new peak

Education funding slashed dramatically

AI Systems decides humans need reengineering

Ellesha: Isn't it wiser to focus on outcomes we want to see actualized rather than lament those we wish to avoid?
Soo: Both perspectives have value. At times it's useful to focus on positives; other times we should recognise potential pitfalls. Life does not fit into a simple formu-rah.
Philyra: Some people focus solely on positives, discretely ignoring unpleasantries . . .
Soo: . . . n' udderz rehash past trauma kun-stant-ree.
Ellesha: Perhaps balance comes only by transcending both notions. Isn't that why spiritual practice is necessary?
Andrei: Ah come on! Your notions are so out-dated.
Philyra: Anyway, without radical social engineering I fear our future will be bleak.
